Football Grounds Frenzy: Kent A brief guide to the Football Grounds of Kent & South East London by Mike Floate Back in 1995 Mike Floate published The Non-League Football Grounds of Kent which has since gone on to fourteen volumes covering other counties around the country. Many of the grounds in this volume featured remain almost unchanged, such as Tunbridge Wells, Gravesend & Northfleet and Cray Wanderers’ old ground now used by Seven Acres & Sidcup as seen on the back cover image. Further classic stands can be seen at Crockenhill & Avlesford Paper Mills as illustrated on the front cover. Newly-opened as this book went to press was Maidstone United's brand new Gallagher Stadium, and it is fitting to include a photo of this to complete the cover. The book runs to 112 pages, and includes details of 169 clubs through 300+ photos. The full range of grounds currently hosting football from Dartford's new stadium to delightful Kent County League venues are detailed. Also included are historical images of lost grounds such as the Bull Ground in Sittingboume and lost stands including Snowdown Colliery Welfare from the Bob Lilliman archive. Now only available from myself as publisher in new condition.
