This book is from my archive of images taken at football grounds in Wales, and follows on from Nutty Turnout Wales. That book focused on including as many images as possible to record the moment in time of my visit. This volume is very different. I have created a printed, visual documentary through themed images, each carefully cropped and composed to draw the reader into and around the key parts of each photo. Studying rather than looking at the image itself, the club name and date taken will be the last thing noticed. There is no narrative other than the introduction, as the images speak for themselves.
Wales has an incredible variety of larger stands; the skills and hard work of club members are seen in others that they have designed and built to suit the needs of their club. Many grounds fit perfectly into their local environment, the trees or houses close to the ground or the impressive scenery beyond.
